Sheffield Theatres to Present THE HISTORY BOYS, 5/16-6/8

Matthew Kelly to Star in Sheffield's THE HISTORY BOYS from May 16

According to the Dail Mail, Matthew Kelly will lead the Sheffield Theatres' production of Alan Bennett's The History Boys as 'Hector'. The show is directed by Michael Longhurst (Constellations, Royal Court and Duke of York's Theatre), with performances set to begin on May 16, 2013. (more...)

Roundabout Theatre Company's American Premiere of Nick Payne's If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet, directed by Michael Longhurst, will end its limited run today, December 23 at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, Laura Pels Theatre (111 West 46th Street). If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet features Annie Funke as "Anna," Jake Gyllenhaal as "Terry", Brian F. O'Byrne as "George' and Enid Graham as "Fiona". (more...)

Artistic Director Daniel Evans today unveils Sheffield Theatres' spring season for 2013, which includes two world premieres - Bull, a new play by Mike Bartlett, and This Is My Family, a new musical comedy by Tim Firth; major revivals of D.H. Lawrence's masterpiece The Daughter-in-Law and Alan Bennett's The History Boys, and Sheffield People's Theatre present their second production, 20 Tiny Plays about Sheffield. Full casting for My Fair Lady, the Crucible Christmas musical is also announced today. (more...)
