Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) presents 'One Chord Short of a Pop Song,' a collection of the short plays 'A Unit of Grim Assessment' and 'Blood on the Toes of Your Boots' which celebrate the art of personal expression through rock music, from playwright Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto. The show also features a reading from 'Breathing for a Living,' a play for one actor written, directed and performed by Kendra Leigh Landon. Dialogue with Three Chords and Soho Gallery for Digital Art Conclude Comic Book Round Table, 5/8

Dialogue with Three Chords teams up with the Soho Gallery for Digital Art in New York City to present theatre inspired by comic books on May 8 as the final installment of the Soho Gallery's five week Comic Book Round Table (CBRT) series of events. "The Last Days of the Brave and Bold" from playwright Stephen Gracia stages an imagined conversation between William Marston, creator of the DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman and Dr. Frederic Wertham, champion of comic book censorship. The short play is directed by Michael LoPorto as is the curtain raiser monologue, "A People's History of Super Heroism." The audience is invited to attend a party to celebrate the CBRT series that will follow the show, along with panelists from previous CBRT events. The performance starts at 7pm at the Soho Gallery for Digital Art located at 138 Sullivan Street in Manhattan. BrooklynONE productions (bkONE) and Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) team up to present 'The Funeral Rites of Country Western Superstars' from playwright Stephen Gracia for brooklynONE's April Reading Series installment. 'Funeral Rites...' includes three plays from Gracia and new material written especially for this event, directed by Anthony Marino and Michael LoPorto. The performance is on April 18th at 8pm at LoneStar Bar at 8703 5th Avenue, Brooklyn. Admission is free and donations are welcome. Lovecraft's tumultuous time living in Brooklyn while newly married. The reading also includes the curtain raiser "When I Dream, I See Strange Men: The Ascension of Elias" which deals with an imagined alien abduction. Both pieces are directed by Michael LoPorto.
