Costa Mesa is about to get a huge dollop of Cole Porter's winsome musical magic this week when ANYTHING GOES, Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony Award-winning 2011 Revival, finally docks at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County for a limited one-week engagement, September 24-29. The show also serves as the final offering of the Center's 2012-2013 Broadway season. Starring alongside Rachel York (who plays Reno Sweeney) is actor-singer-songwriter Josh Franklin, who recently stepped into the role of Billy Crocker for the show's first national tour. Before setting sail for the O.C., Franklin agreed to be subjected to a few silly rapid-fire questions from BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos.

For several weeks now, Southern California has been basking in the soulful glow of talented actress Ta'Rea Campbell who plays diva-turned-nun-on-the-run Deloris Van Cartier in the first national tour of SISTER ACT - THE MUSICAL, the fun and hilarious stage adaptation of the hit 1992 motion picture of the same name. After successful runs in Hollywood and in San Diego, the tour is about to conclude its two-week swing through Orange County, playing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa through August 18. While on the road, Campbell agreed to answer a few silly rapid-fire questions from BroadwayWorld.

Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Betty Buckley---who has been called 'The Voice of Broadway'---will be headlining a series of concerts as part of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Cabaret Series from May 16 - 18 at the Samueli Theater. Called 'Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway,' the show will feature the living legend giving her own inimitable spin on classic Broadway tunes that have traditionally been written for male characters (the show also has a companion CD with a similar title). Buckley will be accompanied on stage by Grammy and two-time Emmy winner John McDaniel. Before she took her male-centric cabaret concert to Orange County, the 2012 Theater Hall of Fame inductee fielded questions from BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos.

After spending time on Broadway and on tour, triple-threat actress Jillian Mueller can now be seen dancing up a (ha ha) storm in the National Tour production of FLASHDANCE, in which she plays leading lady Alex Owens---yes, the sexy steel mill worker who moonlights as a maniac, maniac, on the floor. The stage incarnation of the hit movie of the same name continues performances through May 19 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Tony Award-winning stage and screen legend Ben Vereen is this year's Special Guest Star at ACADEMY AFFAIR 2013, the Annual Benefit and Community Awards Gala presented by MenAlive, the Orange County Gay Men's Chorus. As a kid growing up in the Philippines, I remember being completely enamored by the incredibly talented Lea Salonga, one of my native country's premier superstars. Much to my delight, this Tony Award-winning international star agreed to answer a series of silly, rapid-fire questions from me before her cabaret concert appearance on January 19 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.
