John Osbourne, Harold Pinter, Arthur Pinero and Patrick Hamilton, amongst others.

The Almeida Theatre was named London Theatre of the Year, sponsored by Managed Networks, for the second time having previously won the award in 2016. Full casting for Michael Boyd's much anticipated production of The Cherry Orchard is announced today as rehearsals begin for the Bristol Old Vic and Royal Exchange Theatre co-production. Rory Mullarkey's brand-new translation will be directed by Boyd, celebrated former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). MGC has announced the full casting for Michael Grandage's production of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore which opens at the No l Coward Theatre on 4 July, with previews from 23 June and runs until 8 September. Joining Aidan Turner (Padraic) completing the all Irish cast are Denis Conway (Donny), Will Irvine (Christy), Brian Martin (James), Daryl McCormack (Brendan) Julian Moore-Cook (Joey), Charlie Murphy (Mairead), and Chris Walley (Davey).

James Graham's critically acclaimed and prescient political drama THIS HOUSE which played to sold-out houses at the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and in the West End will begin its first ever national tour at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds 22 February 10 March 2018 before touring the UK with exclusive Scottish dates at Festival Theatre Edinburgh (27 - 31 March). The tour is supported by the Arts Council of England Grants for the Arts.
