Hugh Panaro to Perform at Inside Broadway's Beacon Awards 6/17

Broadway leading man Hugh Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Lestat, Show Boat, Side Show, Les Miserables) is set to perform at Inside Broadway's 2010 Broadway Beacon Awards being held at 5:30pm on June 17th, 2010 at the historic Players Club at Gramercy Park. Harry Coghlan, President and General Manager of Clear Channel Outdoor's New York and Spectacolor Divisions, has also been added as an award recipient for the evening.

Billy Elliot on Broadway will play a new performance schedule beginning May 31, 2010: Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 2pm and 7:30pm. In addition, there will be special holiday schedules for July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend, with information available at www.telecharge.com.

MSG Entertainment and the Garden of Dreams Foundation celebrated the Sixth Annual Spring Talent Show: 'City of Dreams' on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall last night on April 28. Special hosts included Whoopi Goldberg, Darryl 'D.M.C.' McDaniels, Mike Dameski who is currently starring as Billy Elliot from Broadway's BILLY ELLIOT, Matthew Modine, Radio City Rockettes and MSG Network Knicks reporter Jill Martin. The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden to 'make dreams come true for children in crisis.' This year's show will feature a variety of individual and group performances, including dancing, singing and instrumental acts. The NYC-themed event will also present an inspiring opening and finale act showcasing all the participating children. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the event.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that 10-time Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical has recouped its $18 million investment in 14 months (492 performances). The production began previews on October 1, 2008 and opened to critical acclaim on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Imperial Theatre, where it has repeatedly broken the house record for highest weekly gross.
