Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, will present A Charlie Brown Christmas as part of our 2018 Holiday Series! Created by Charles M. Schulz, based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson, this stage adaptation by Eric Schaeffer is presented by special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson, and will be directed by Resident Artist James McHale. A Charlie Brown Christmas will preview from December 7th through 9th; regular performances will begin December 13th and continue through December 23rd on the Fyda-Mar Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Come join Pacific Symphony for a special treat this Christmas season, the "Nutcracker for Kids!" Conducted by Music Director of Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, Roger Kaila, this concert will include an assortment of sweet selections from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker;" ballerinas from Orange County's acclaimed ballet company, Festival Ballet Theatre; actor James McHale; a grande finale sing-a-long; and a visit from the jolly man himself-Santa Claus! Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will present the US Premiere of BELOVED by acclaimed Swedish playwright Lisa Langseth. The play was originally produced in Stockholm starring Noomi Rapace (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus) and later adapted into the film Pure starring Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Tomb Raider), which won the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Award for Best Screenplay. Translated by Charlotte Barslund and directed by Kathy Curtiss, previews begin August 4 at The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row. Opening night of this limited-run Off-Broadway engagement is slated for Wednesday, August 8.
