The 44th Mainstage Season at the Hangar Theatre continues with A Doll's House, Part 2, from August 2 to 11. Directed by Michael Barakiva and written by Lucas Hnath, almost 140 years after the original's first performance. In 1879 Henrik Ibsen produced the story of Nora Helmer, a wife and mother at a time of limited opportunities would arise in a male-dominated world. Audiences were shocked by "the door slam heard around the world" as she leaves to lead a life free of domesticity.

On October 14, 2017, the Hangar will host its sixth and final Charades FUNdraiser. This light-hearted community battle of Charades, hosted by former Hangar Theatre Artistic Director Robert Moss, raises money for the Hangar's education programs. Four teams comprised of local luminaries and Hangar stars will compete on and off stage for one of two titles - Charades Champion and Fundraising Champion.

WSR is excited to announce the transfer of "Any Other Name" to Theatre Wit in Chicago. The dark comedy by new playwright George Brant opens on March 17, 2017 at Raue Center For The Arts and runs through April 2, 2017. "Any Other Name" will transfer to Theatre Wit for the Chicago Premiere on April 21, 2017 and will run in Chicago through April 30, 2017.

The Hangar theatre, in Ithaca NY is hosting two unique cabaret style performances this October. Mind the Gap - a celebration of British soul singers, Dusty, Petula, Amy, and Adele, will make its world premiere October 7th and 8th. On October 14, celebrate Latino Heritage Month at the spectacular one-night engagement, The Latin and World Music of Sally Ramirez and Doug Robinson. All performances take place at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre located at 801 Taughannock Blvd.
