Three of New York's premiere vocalists- Daniel Rodriquez, Michael Amante and Andy Cooney - billed as "The New York Tenors" will bring an "evening of vocal excellence" featuring music from Broadway, opera, film and American classics to the McCallum Theatre on Thursday, January 17, and Friday, January 18. Since the inception of The Three Tenors on July 7, 1990 in Rome at the Baths of Caracalla on the eve of the FIFA World Cup Final, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and the one and only Luciano Pavarotti have opened the doors for other great voices, such as the Irish Tenors, The Canadian Tenors and this nationally renowned trio who pay tribute to the great city of New York through their inimitable vocal stylings. Joining Jamie on this holiday evening were Broadway favorite Loni Ackerman; Singer, performer and concert sensation Michael Amante; two-time Emmy Award-winning comedian Judy Gold; Tony Award-nominated actress and singer Valarie Pettiford; Broadway veteran and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins and London's own stage, TV and cabaret star Giselle Wolf. Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon). Tickets will go on sale to the Public August 15th at 10 AM. Limit 6 tickets per Member per performance during Members Only sales. Membership to the Non-Profit State Theatre starts at $75, lasts one year and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. (more...)
