The Lexington Theatre Company brings Broadway and Rising Stars to the stage.  Disney's The Little Mermaid will be led by seasoned pros from Broadway/National Tours including Edward Watts (Scandalous, Finian's Rainbow, The Music Man at The Lex) as King Triton, Emily Cramer (School of Rock, Mary Poppins, Les Misérables) as Ursula, Ryan Gregory Thurman (After Midnight, Elf: The Musical) as Sebastian, and Lexington's own Brance Cornelius (How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Cinderella) as Scuttle.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including 'Under the Sea,' 'Kiss the Girl' and 'Part of Your World.' Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. Disney's The Little Mermaid offers a fantastic creative opportunity for rich costumes and sets, as well as the chance to perform some of the best-known songs from the past 30 years.

Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre has announced the cast of its July 2022 in-person live production of Side by Side by Sondheim. The production will take place July 28, 29, 30 & 31, 2022 at The Tiffany Center's Crystal Room in downtown Portland, Oregon.

Fans of the performing arts can choose from seven “Broadway at Overture” titles―including four Madison premieres―and more than 30 other national and international shows, including three Cabaret performances, four National Geographic Live shows and a new musical experience, “Up Close.”

Metta Theatre – one of the UK's leading production companies devoted to British musical theatre – are pleased to announce the release of second season of filmed musical drama CELLS today, Monday 21 March, a year after the first season was released in 2021, in partnership with Royal & Derngate Northampton, The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch and the Taunton Brewhouse.

The Studio Theatre is set to stage The Little Mermaid Jr. from Thursday, March 10 through Sunday, March 20, 2022. All Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are scheduled for 7:30pm. Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2:30pm.

Ariel, the youngest daughter of the Mer-King Triton, does not feel like she belongs in her world under the sea and wishes to live in the human world above. When she falls in love with Eric, a young human prince, she is willing to risk everything to win his heart, and makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, to trade her voice for human legs. However, the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel will need the help of her colorful friends, Sebastian the crab, Scuttle the seagull, and Flounder the fish, Scuttle to restore order in both worlds. With a book by Doug Wright, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and music by Alan Menken, the show is sure to delight audience members of all ages. The Little Mermaid performs at 7 p.m. on November 18th, 7 p.m. on Friday, November 19th, 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 20th, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at the McCoy Center for the Arts, 100 West Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Walnut Street Theatre will continue its 213th season with the breathtaking Broadway hit for all ages, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID. Directed by Glenn Casale and choreographed by John MacInnis, the production begins previews on November 16, 2021, opens November 24, and continues through January 2, 2022 on the Walnut’s Mainstage.

Joining the cast are Ken Christiansen (Everybody's Talking About Jamie, It's a Sin, Mother Courage and her Children) as 'Nick', Kinny Gardner (Godspell, The Rocky Horror Show, The Mousetrap) as 'Sid', Rebecca Hayes (A Christmas Carol, Cylch Sialc, The Pact) as 'Robin', Andrew Patrick-Walker (Jerry Springer – The Opera, Brooklyn the Musical, The Muppets Most Wanted) as 'Jeremy', Joshua Steel (Aladdin, Friendsical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as 'Connor', and Phil Snowden (Billy Elliot, Les Miserables and Bridgerton) as 'Dennis'.

Single tickets for more than 15 Overture Presents shows announced in late August go on sale today, Friday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. Get your tickets online or in-person at the ticket office.

Backing up the encore season Legally Blonde, HAMA Productions have not wasted any time getting straight back to it with THE LITTLE MERMAID opening at the Regal Theatre. Whilst the cast featured many familiar faces from the Perth theatre scene, it is fair to say that it showcased the depth of talent in Perth, with many of the cast excelling in roles unlike other roles they've been in recently. The result is a wonderful reimagining of the classic Disney movie, with plenty to entertain any audience member, young or old.

Aria Entertainment and Metta Theatre have announced that Noel Sullivan will star as 'Grey' in the premiere of brand-new life affirming musical THE RHYTHMICS this winter, playing at the Southwark Playhouse from 2 December to 8 January, with a press night on Tuesday 7 December. Recent graduate Zweyla Mitchell Dos Santos will make her professional debut alongside Noel, playing 'Silva'.

Overture Center for the Arts will welcome back artists and patrons to our world-class facility starting in September. The fall and winter “Overture Presents” shows were announced in May. Now 15 more shows have been added to the schedule, giving patrons more options for subscription packages and nights out with family and friends.
