Bated Breath Theatre Company's interactive art auction play, Beneath the Gavel, will come to Feinstein's/54 Below on September 14, 2018 at 9:30pm. Throw your paddle in the ring armed with fistfuls of cash as you rival your fellow audience members to be the last bidder standing at Bated Breath's interactive high-end art auction play Beneath the Gavel which premiered Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters in the Spring of 2017. Feinstein's/54 Below transforms into a Sotheby's-like auction house complete with deep-pocket collectors, ruthless art dealers, celebrity artists, and cut-throat auctioneers all vying for a Daniel Zeigler painting from the prized Haddie Weisenberg Collection. With world-renowned auctioneer Barbara Strongin at the podium, Beneath the Gavel exposes the hidden agendas and dirty secrets of the art world. Trinity Repertory Company announced today that actress Mary McDonnell will be honored with the 2018 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts at the theater's 22nd annual Pell Awards Gala on Monday, May 21, 2018. A two-time Oscar nominee for Dances with Wolves and Passion Fish, McDonnell's theater, film and television career has spanned more than four decades with dynamic character portrayals in period and present-day roles, including TNT's The Closer and Major Crimes, Syfy's Battlestar Galactica, Donnie Darko, and Sneakers.

TDF, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing the power of the performing arts to everyone, which is celebrating 50 years of service to audiences and the performing arts community in 2018, has announced it will be honoring Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning playwright TONY KUSHNER at its 50th Anniversary Gala on Monday, June 18 at Manhattan's historic Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway @ 36th Street, NYC). Mr. Kushner's masterwork, Angels in America, is currently receiving its first Broadway revival with the National Theatre production at the Neil Simon Theatre.

The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series presents Really Rosie, the genius collaboration from the writers of Maurice Sendak and Carole King. In this upbeat and imaginative musical, Rosie, the self-proclaimed sassiest kid on the block, entertains her friends by producing an imaginary movie based on the exciting, dramatic, funny (and slightly exaggerated) story of her life. Directed by Nikki Torchon, Really Rosie plays March 3 at 5pm, March 4 at 11am and 3pm, March 10 at 5pm and March 11 at 11am and 3pm at 614 Fairview Ave., Swarthmore.
