Atlantic Theater Company will present its landmark 30th Anniversary Gala on Monday, March 2, 2015 at The Pierre (2 East 61 Street) hosted by Atlantic Founding Ensemble Member and Academy Award nominee Felicity Huffman.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present The Songs of Jacob Yandura & Rebekah Greer Melocik on Monday, February 16th at 9:30pm. The list of Broadway stars set to perform now includes James Snyder (If/Then), Greg Hildreth (Cinderella, Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenni Barber (Wicked, The Nance), and Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), among others.

Sundance Institute presents its U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions and the out-of-competition NEXT <=> section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, running today, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present an industry reading of a new musical, Presto Change-O, today, December 19 at 11am at Manhattan Theatre Club, 311 W 43rd Street, (8th Fl., Studio 3).

Last night, November 10, The Lilly Awards Foundation with the Broadway at Birdland Series presented The Lilly Awards Broadway Cabaret: An evening of showstoppers written by women and performed by Broadway's Best to benefit The Lilly Awards Foundation whose mission is to promote gender parity at all levels of theatrical production, and develop and celebrate the work of women in the theater. The evening was directed by Daisy Prince, musical direction by Georgia Stitt and co-produced by Amanda Green and Georgia Stitt. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from backstage below!

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presents the BSC Musical Theatre Lab (William Finn Artistic Producer and Julianne Boyd Artistic Director) staged reading of a new musical, Presto Change-O, on July 27 and 28 at the St. Germain Stage at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center.

Republic by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk; Feral with Book by Victor Lesniewski, Music by Jacob Yandura, and Lyrics by Rebekah Greer Melocik; and The Danger Year with Music & Lyrics by Georgia Stitt, and Book by Jamie Pachino. All readings are by INVITATION only and will be performed at The York Theatre Company in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

On Monday, April 14, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Tony and Drama Desk Award nominated songwriter Amanda Green and her Broadway friends in 'Amanda Green's Spring Trunk Show'. The musical event was a celebration of Green's trunkful of songs that were cut on their way to opening nights of Hands on a Hardbody, Bring It On, High Fidelity, and more. The cast included Kathleen Monteleone, Jenn Colella,Greg Naughton, Janet Krupin, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Ryann Redmond. The musical director for the show wasMatt Gallagher. Directed by Neil Pepe with musical direction by Matt Gallagher, Writers' Choice saluted Atlantic's iconic playwrights with an evening of unexpected songs. For this year's Gala, Atlantic asked alumni playwrights to choose a favorite song and a favorite musician to perform it. Writers' Choice featured special tributes to Annie Baker, Martha Clarke, Stephen Adly Guirgis, David Mamet, Conor McPherson, and Doug Wright from presenters and performers Jonathan Cake, Bridget Everett, John Gallagher Jr., Rick Holmes, Brian D'Arcy James, Gary Jules, John Kelly, Zosia Mamet, Julianne Nicholson, Laura Osnes, Michael Park, Mary Beth Peil and Isiah Whitlock, Jr. among others.
