On Saturday, May 18, Time Out Market New York is hosting a super exciting celebration at Brooklyn Bridge Park in honor of its 5th anniversary!

Fulton has done some remarkable small-scale musicals on their fourth floor stage. Shows like Next to Normal and Five Guys Named Moe easily prove that not every show needs to have a big cast or a bigger budget to be entertaining and engaging.  Unfortunately, The Last 5 Years isn’t in that same category for me.

ERA Coalition Forward has announced the Hollywood premiere of the award-winning documentary 'Still Working 9 to 5' by filmmakers Camille Hardman and Gary Lane in honor of women's equality trailblazers Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton. The gala event will take place in Hollywood on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the prestigious Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center, Renberg Theatre.

Virginia Repertory Theatre will bring Dolly Parton’s hit show 9 to 5: The Musical to the Richmond community for the first time. Running from June 21 – Aug 4 at the November Theatre downtown, the show features a book by Patricia Resnick, based on the screenplay by Resnick and Colin Higgins. 

Kelly Jones has released Echowrecked, the latest single from his forthcoming studio album Inevitable Incredible – due out Friday, May 3rd. “Echowrecked” is a moving piano-driven ballad with delicate strings throughout and soulful vocals in a chorus of poetic lyricism. The training program Camp Broadway Indonesia (licensee of New York-based Camp Broadway) will send five students to perform at The New York Pops Birthday Gala, following their debut in 2023. The five chosen youth performers will go on the prestigious Carnegie Hall stage on April 29 to perform with Broadway stars as part of the international Camp Broadway Ensemble, honoring music icon Clive Davis.

According to reports, Jennifer Aniston will be producing a reimagining of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 for 20th Century Studios. Aniston will be producing through her production company Echo Films, alongside co-founder Kristin Hahn. The script for the reimagining is being written by Diablo Cody, who previously scripted Juno, Jennifer's Body and the recent horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein.

I had the privilege of speaking with Steve a number of years ago to learn a little more about his journey and our conversation still resonates today.
