With a story by BSC Associate Artist Mark St. Germain (BSC: Eleanor; BSC and Off-Broadway: Freud's Last Session), A Crossing is a timely new dance musical featuring original songs and vocal arrangements by award-winning songwriter Zoe Sarnak (Secret Soldiers, Empire Records), alongside traditional Mexican folk song arrangements and additional score by George Sáenz.

Barrington Stage Company presents the final production of the Boyd-Quinson Stage 2021 season: the world premiere of A Crossing - A Dance Musical, created in association with Calpulli Mexican Dance Company.

As we filed out of the theatre following the performance of the World Premiere Musical, A CROSSING, I leaned in toward BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and said, “I am torn between two words - magnificent and gorgeous”. She replied, “I will take them both”, and I assure you deservedly so.

Sonoma County's Cinnabar Theater will present the local debut of playwright Mark St. Germain's heartwarming romantic comedy, Dancing Lessons, performing live October 15th-31st.

 Once again, the lights will soon be on in the Goldman Theater at 16th and Q Streets, NW. Theater J is gearing up for their first live show since the start of the pandemic. Naomi Jacobson reprises her much-acclaimed leading role for a season opener that Adam Immerwahr, Theater J’s Artistic Director, calls “uplifting and joyful.” 

Six-time Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh will return to Boca Raton's Mizner Park Cultural Center on Saturday October 16th and Sunday October 17th for three performances of her acclaimed one woman show Tovah is LEONA! The show, in which Feldshuh assumes the persona of real estate mogul and hotelier Leona Helmsley, played to sold-out houses in January 2019.

The Theatre will begin its 31st season on October 15th with its previously postponed production of Middletown followed by a delightful holiday production and a fabulous 3 play subscription series starting in January!

Returning to the stage in New York City this fall, six-time Tony- and Emmy-nominated actor Tovah Feldshuh will star in a tour-de-force theatrical show Becoming Dr. Ruth, presented Off-Broadway at Edmond J. Safra Hall at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the dances and musical numbers from A CROSSING: A DANCE MUSICAL with footage from the 2019 developmental workshop. Performances begin September 23, and the production runs through October 17, 2021.

Theatre NOVA, Ann Arbor’s resident nonprofit professional theatre, has announced its return to in-person productions.

Richard Baird directs Leilani Smith* and Christopher M. Williams* on North Coast Rep’s mainstage. Audiences will see a full theatrical production with Choreography by Cate Caplin, sets by Scenic Designer Marty Burnett, Light Design Matt Novotny, Costumes by Elisa Benzoni, and Sound & Media Design Aaron Rumley and Prop Design Philip Korth.
