Tenderloin Museum will present special performances of THE COMPTON'S CAFETERIA RIOT this August, honoring the 60th anniversary of the 1966 uprising and California Transgender History Month, with guest appearances by local activists and drag legend Peaches Christ.
Tenderloin Museum has announced that THE COMPTON’S CAFETERIA RIOT will extend its run through June 30, 2026, continuing performances at its dedicated venue at 835 Larkin Street in San Francisco.
The Tenderloin Museum will resume performances of The Compton’s Cafeteria Riot, an immersive theatrical production exploring a landmark moment in LGBTQ+ history.
Boxcar Theatre's 2014 immersive hit, The Speakeasy, is on track to relaunch this summer in its new home in San Francisco's North Beach-Chinatown neighborhood. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Monday, August 8, with previews starting Friday, August 12, and a press opening scheduled for mid-October.
