THE LION KING tour continues to reign across North America, celebrating 10 triumphant years on the road on Friday, April 27 in Orlando. Since launching in April 2002 in Denver, CO, THE LION KING North American tour has played nearly 6,000 performances during 112 engagements in 74 cities. According to the Associated Press, Broadway’s landmark musical event THE LION KING has just become the all-time highest grossing show on Broadway surpassing THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. THE LION KING'S total gross now adds up to a whopping $853,846,062, while PHANTOM, which opened ten years earlier, remains at $853,122,847. (more...)

Casting has been announced for the Orlando return engagement of Disney’s THE LION KING. Orlando’s eagerly awaited stage production will leap onto the Bob Carr stage from April 17 to May 13. The press opening night is Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. The show’s six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre. (more...)

Disney Theatrical Productions and Fox Associates announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of DISNEY’S THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00am. The New Orleans premiere of Disney’s THE LION KING opens tonight, Friday, March 16 at 8 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for a limited engagement of five weeks through Sunday, April 15.
