The Pacific Symphony’s 24th Summer Festival, presented by Hoag Hospital, offers an exciting variety of music, beginning with a celebratory July 4th extravaganza, featuring the iconic music of The Eagles and culminating in a dazzling fireworks display. Enjoy an evening of Broadway magic that combines the cachet of “The Phantom of the Opera” with three extraordinary performers, and a night of Ludwig van Beethoven’s greatest hits. Then, get a bang out of summer at the annual, all-new program for “Tchaikovsky Spectacular,” with cannons and fireworks! The series concludes with Disney Live in Concert, featuring the Symphony performing the soundtrack to “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”—as it is shown on the big screen. Monday, April 23, at 8pm the National Touring Company of WICKED will host “THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW”, a staged concert performance of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show – Book, music & lyrics by Richard O’Brien. Held at Denver’s historic Ogden Theatre, the event will feature the company of WICKED. The net proceeds of this event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Project Angel Heart. And it has sold more t-shirts than any show in Broadway history. Now in a return engagement at the Pantages, this scaled down tour of Wicked still catches fire, due mostly to a gifted cast. Back by "Popular" demand, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, WICKED returned to its Los Angeles home, the Pantages Theatre, for a strictly-limited engagement this holiday season running through January 29, 2012. When it first played the Pantages in 2005, it broke box office records and sold out in record time. WICKED returned two years later to begin an extended engagement that would go on to run two years, becoming one of the longest-running Broadway musicals in L.A. history.
