Artistic Director of the Young Vic Kwame Kwei-Armah today announces complete casting for Nora: A Doll's House. Anna Russell-Martin (Cyrano De Bergerac, A Christmas Carol Citizens Theatre) reprises her role from the critically-acclaimed Citizens Theatre production, and is joined by Mark Arends (MotherFatherSon; Fatherland Lyric Hammersmith), Natalie Klamar (Wilderness Hampstead Theatre; Richard II Almeida), Luke Norris (Poldark; Blue/Orange, A View from the Bridge Young Vic), Amaka Okafor (The Son Kiln/West End; I'm Not Running, Macbeth National Theatre) and Zephryn Taitte (Call The Midwife; Bitter Wheat Garrick Theatre).

Flute Theatre and English Touring Theatre's HAMLET to Transfer to Trafalgar Studios

Following performances across Europe, including Gdansk Shakespeare Festival; Mercury Theatre Colchester; Craiova International Festival; Park Theatre, London; four theatres in Spain; Neuss Globe Shakespeare Festival; and Kronborg Castle, Elsinore Hamletscenen, Flute Theatre and English Touring Theatre today announces that their production of Hamlet, adapted by Kelly Hunter, transfers to the Trafalgar Studios for a limited run this December.  As well as adapting, Hunter directs Mark Arends (Hamlet), Finlay Cormack (Laertes), David Fielder (Polonius/ Gravedigger), Tom Mannion (Claudius), Katy Stevens (Gertrude) and Francesca Zoutewelle (Ophelia). The production opens on 8 December, with previews from 6 December, and runs until 31 December.

The Old Vic today announced further programming, casting and dates for the 2016-17 season, both on and off the main stage. The 50th anniversary production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard will open on 7 March, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire.

A new entertainment by Michael Wynne, The Star, will mark Liverpool Playhouse's 150th anniversary this Christmas in honour of its origins as a Music Hall venue. Directed by Philip Wilson, the production will feature Michael Starke. At the Everyman Associate Director Nick Bagnall's effervescent take on The Two Gentlemen of Verona sets the action in a colourful and musical 1960s. Desmond Barrit will appear alongside Maggie Steed as Mrs Malaprop in Sheridan's elegant comedy of manners The Rivals at the Playhouse.

The Old Vic today announces Artistic Director Matthew Warchus' second season, continuing a wide-ranging programme that includes world premieres, new writing, musicals, classic revivals and The Old Vic Variety Nights. There will also be a new strand of children's programming to engage the next generation of theatregoers, demonstrating Matthew's 'something for everyone' approach.
