Speeches were given by Viola Davis, Kesha, Monica Lewinsky, Awkwafina, Lena Dunham, Lupita Nyong'o, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Nina Jacobson and Hannah Gadsby at the event where college scholarships were awarded.

The Theatre Artists Workshop in Norwalk will present a staged reading of the Broadway hit 'God of Carnage' by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, on November 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. and November 18 at 3 p.m. Theatre Artists Workshop is located at 5 Gregory Boulevard in Norwalk. Acclaimed singer and songwriter John Ondrasik, best known by his stage name Five for Fighting, brings his music to the intimate Scherr Forum today, October 27, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

Jaffrey's River Street Theatre (a project of The Park Theatre) will be presenting the award-winning documentary about American author Willa Cather (1873-1947) entitled Willa Cather: The Road is All. It will be shown Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 7pm as well as Friday, October 19 at 3pm and 7:30pm. Admission to all screenings is free.

Lifetime has greenlit Love You to Death starring Emmy nominee and Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden (Code Black) in the twisted story of a controlling mother and her seemingly sick daughter that ends in a murder no one could have predicted. This is a re-teaming for Sony Pictures Television and Lifetime with director Alex Kalymnios, who directed Lifetime's highly rated Cleveland Abduction in 2015.

Acclaimed singer and songwriter John Ondrasik, best known by his stage name Five for Fighting, brings his music to the intimate Scherr Forum on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

Grammy-Nominated singer-songwriter, composer John Ondrasik, aka Five For Fighting, will be releasing a new album Five For Fighting Live With String Quartet. Together with the FFF string quartet Ondrasik will be on tour playing a series of unique and intimate dates beginning September 12, 2018 in Franklin, TN (tour dates below and here).  The new album will be exclusively available to those attending the shows until its release later this fall.  Five For Fighting will be playing the hits, such as “Superman” and “100 Years” along with fan favorites, 'Chances,” 'Two Lights,” 'What if,” and 'I Just Love You,” as well as adding songs from Ondrasik's twenty year+ catalogue. 

After 144 performances of seven different productions presented over 55 days, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival concluded the 27th season with its rotating repertory of Shakespeare in Love and King Richard II; and its "Extreme Shakespeare," production of All's Well That Ends Well.
