Theatre Development Fund Awarded $35,000 Grant for Phase II of 'Triple Play'

Theatre Development Fund (TDF) and Theatre Bay Area (TBA) are pleased to announce that they have received a grant in the amount of $35,000 from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation's Fund for National Projects in support of Phase II of their consortium project, Triple Play. Triple Play explores the crucial relationship between playwrights and other generative artists, theatres and audiences. This exploration aspires to create a paradigm shift in the way the field thinks about audiences and the way audiences experience new work, and in so doing will increase audience appetite for new work and help to restore theatre's relevance as a national art form.
Stage Entertainment Announces Dan Hinde as New Director of International Content, 11/9

Today, Peter O'Keeffe, Chief Content Officer, announced the appointment of Dan Hinde as Stage Entertainment's new Director of International Content. Dan will start in his new role on 9 November. He will support the managing directors and executive producers of each territory in long-term strategic programme planning, assisting in product choices and negotiating licences for new titles where appropriate.
Dan will focus on our licensed content side of the business while working together closely with Tali Pelman, who will continue her focus on new product development. The International Production Department under Ulf Maschek will report to Dan.

The Inconvenience is very happy to announce a new Artistic Director, as well as it's recent hiring of Development and Managing Directors. After leading the company since it's inception, Chris Chemlik is handing the reigns of Artistic Director over to Founding Member Missi Davis, who has been serving as the Executive Director and Producer. Chris is still an active and integral member of The Inconvenience, and is excited for Missi to lead the company in a new direction both creatively and within the administration. The Inconvenience also welcomes Charlie Otto as the company's Managing Director, and Joe Varisco as the new Development Director.

Gloucester Stage Names Interim Artistic Director

Gloucester Stage Company has announced that Robert Walsh will join the 35-year old professional theatre as Interim Artistic Director, effective immediately. Walsh succeeds Eric Engel, who stepped down as Artistic Director at the end of the 35th Season, after a 13-year tenure with the theatre.
CATF's Managing Director James McNeel to Depart

The Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University (CATF) has announced that its Managing Director, James McNeel, has accepted the same position at City Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA. McNeel, who has been in this role for the last four seasons, will officially close his tenure on December 12th. The Theater Festival is currently in the process of hiring his replacement.
