ABC Studios Announce New 2013-2014 Series Orders by TV News Desk - May 21, 2013
ABC Studios had another banner development year with nine new shows ordered to series. New dramas "Betrayal," "Killer Women," "Lucky 7," "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," "Resurrection," along with new comedies "Trophy Wife" and "Mixology," were picked up at ABC. Image Entertainment Aquires LAST LOVE with Michael Caine by BWW News Desk - May 17, 2013
Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has acquired all U.S. rights to the romantic drama Last Love, based on Francoise Dorner's French novel La Douceur Assassine. Starring Oscar winner Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception), who recently signed on to star in Interstellar his 6th Christopher Nolan film, Last Love is written and directed by Sandra Nettelbeck, and co-stars Clemence Poesy (In Bruges, 127 Hours), Justin Kirk (Goats, Showtime's 'Weeds'), Gillian Anderson (The X Files) and Jane Alexander (Dream House, Terminator Salvation). E! is expanding its weekly comedy offerings with the premiere of the hilarious, critically acclaimed, dating show spoof, "Burning Love." What began as a web phenomenon that follows charismatic, yet incredibly shallow, Mark Orlando (Ken Marino) as he embarks on a journey to find the kind of ever-lasting love that is only found on reality TV, will now be featured as a weekly series in seven, half-hour episodes. With a lineup of comedic heavyweights from film and television, including Kristen Bell, Adam Scott, Malin Akerman and Michael Ian Black, with special appearances from Ben Stiller (Executive Producer), Christine Taylor and Jennifer Aniston, the series brings the laughs and mega-watt star power to every episode. "Burning Love" will make its television debut Monday, February 25 at 10:00pm ET/PT, with the third season premiere of "After Lately" following at 10:30pm ET/PT during E!'s Mock Block Monday.
