Irish Repertory Theatre has announced the world premiere of OFF THE METER, ON THE RECORD, written and performed by John McDonagh (Producer of "Radio Free Eireann"). Directed by Ciaran O'Reilly (The Emperor Jones), OFF THE METER, ON THE RECORD begins performances on October 6, 2017 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the W. Scott McLucas Studio Stage, with an opening night set for October 17, 2017, and will run through November 5, 2017.

A wide range of poets, writers, musicians and story tellers will perform on Saturday, September 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe, as a non-profit Irish-American collective holds its first Southwest salon.

On Friday, June 16, beloved New York fixture Malachy McCourt receives the first Origin in Bloom Literary Award, a new annual Bloomsday award honoring the work of an Irish or Irish-American author.

This year's 4th annual immersive Bloomsday Breakfast hosted by Origin Theatre Company and Bloom's Tavern in Midtown on June 16 will feature an expanded version of its juried costume contest and the announcement of a new Irish-American literary prize.

Even before breaking ground on their new home, IAC will welcome audiences into the existing Cybert Tire site for Rooms, a site-specific theatrical installation by the great Irish playwright Enda Walsh (May 3-28). IAC will present Rooms alongside St. Ann's Warehouse premiere of Walsh's new play, Arlington (May 3-28), making for a season of Walsh works in New York, supported by Culture Ireland.

Himself and Nora, a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Jonathan Brielleis currently in previews at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Directed by Michael Bush, produced by Cherie King and executive produced by R. Erin Craig, Himself and Nora officially opened last night, June 6th. A new, juried costume contest will be the centerpiece of this year's 3rd annual Bloomsday Breakfast celebration at Midtown's Bloom's Tavern, 208 East 58th Street, on Thursday June 16 beginning at 8am.

Symphony Space will honor philanthropists Ted and Mary Jo Shen at their 2016 Spring Gala on May 9th. Hosted by James Naughton, the evening will feature performances by Victoria Clark, Lilli Cooper, Chuck Cooper, Ricky Ian Gordon, Michael John LaChiusa, Ted Sperling, Katie Thompson and many others. Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director at The Public Theater, will present the award to the Shens.

Origin Theatre Company kicks off its thirteenth season of producing the New York premieres of plays by contemporary European playwrights at its annual benefit on Thursday June 18, at 6:30pm.
