Twenty Twelve: The Launch marks the debut of TwentySomething Productions showcasing the work of Jonathan Reid Gealt, Kerrigan-Lowdermilk, Kooman & Dimond, Pasek & Paul, Ryan Scott Oliver and Joe Sterling. It will take place tonight, 9th September 2012 at Cafe Koha Bar, Leicester Square (11 St. Martin's Court, London, WC2 4AJ). Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm show, lasting two hours, £10. Stephen Sondheim's musical masterpiece, Sweeney Todd, stars Olivier Award winner Michael Ball as the infamous demon barber of Fleet Street and Oscar-nominated actress Imelda Staunton as his devoted accomplice Mrs. Lovett. Following sell-out success at Chichester Festival Theatre, the production transferred to London's West End on 10 March, 2012 for a limited season only, and must end on 22 September, 2012. Comedian Jason Manford will join the company as "Italian" barber Pirelli for four weeks in July this year, covering for Robert Burt, who is scheduled to sing at Glyndebourne Festival 2012.

Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton, along with fellow SWEENEY TODD cast members Lucy May Barker, Luke Brady and James McConville, appeared last week at Dress Circle's London store to sign copies of the 2012 London Cast Album of Sweeney Todd.

Now, Baz Bamigboye of the UK Daily Mail has revealed that 'Stephen Sondheim has given director Jonathan Kent's Chichester Festival Theatre production of Sweeney Todd (with Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton delivering the stage performances of their lives) his seal of approval. He'd love the two stars to take the deliciously grisly musical to Broadway when they complete their run at the Adelphi Theatre. There's no official word this will happen yet, because both actors have crazy schedules, but it would be fantastic if they did manage to cross the Atlantic with this Sweeney.'
