F*It Club's Spring Fling: The Morning After Kick Off 4/4

F*It Club, the New York Innovative Award-winning film and theatre company, continues its annual series of short, commissioned world-premiere plays at the Medicine Show Theatre in Manhattan with The Spring Fling: The Morning After, six new plays by Hilary Bettis (American Girls), Nick Jones (The Coward, Trevor), Krista Knight (Clementine and the Cyber Ducks), Janine Nabers (Annie Bosh is Missing), Heidi Schreck (There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature), and Joe Tracz (Up North) and directed by Oliver Butler (Blood Play), Matt Dickson (The Man-Made Rock), Mike Donahue (Grace, or the Art of Climbing), Portia Krieger (The Netflix Plays), Stella Powell-Jones (Williamstown Theatre Festival Directing Assistant), and Pirronne Yousefzadeh (Ten, The Tenant). Performances will be Thursday, April 4th through Sunday, April 14th with Thursday through Saturday night performances at 8pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2p. (more...)

STAGE TUBE: Williamstown Theatre Festival Bids Farewell to 2012 Season with Jessie J Lip Dub!

As previously announced, the complete 2012 Williamstown Theatre Festival season closes this weekend, August 19, 2012. This season included Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, a Preview Production of the new musical Far From Heaven, and a new translation of Ivan Turgenev's A Month in the Country on the Main Stage, with Lucy Boyle's The Blue Deep, Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Bernard Pomerance's The Elephant Man, and Katori Hall's WHADDABLOODCLOT!!! on the Nikos Stage. The season also included a special workshop production of David Byrne's Here Lies Love, which played at nearby MASS MoCA. Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced a series of special events that will enhance the previously announced 2012 summer season. Additions to the Festival's 58th season include one-night-only stand-up comedy performances from Lewis Black on July 9th and Susie Essman (who will also appear in the Nikos Stage production of Last of the Red Hot Lovers) on July 23rd. Also added to the schedule is a reading of Dustin Lance Black's political docudrama 8, presented in partnership with Broadway Impact as a benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights. The Festival's popular Late-Night Cabaret Series returns, featuring Festival stars in rarely seen performances. (more...)
