Goodspeed Musicals will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof with an inspiring new production beginning June 27th at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Joshua Bell, Frank London, Austin Pendleton and Jackie Hoffman have joined the lineup for Raising the Roof - an all-star benefit concert celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof, its Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, and the 100thanniversary of The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene - on Monday, June 9th, at New York's The Town Hall.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof, Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick will be honored and will perform with the largest-ever reunion of original, revival and film cast members as part of an all-star benefit concert for The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene on Monday, June 9th, at New York's Town Hall.

While most everyone is familiar with the tragic tale of Anne Frank and her family, fewer know the story of HANNA SENESH, although there have been books, movies and plays made about her extraordinary experiences. Hannah was a woman driven by her passion for life, and she was also a writer, having written both poems and plays, as well as a detailed journal. Playwright David Schecter (in collaboration with Lori Wilner) has done an exceptional job of turning these seemingly disparate elements into a thoroughly engaging work, and The New Jewish Theatre is currently presenting a very special production that demands your time and attention this holiday season.

Peter Van Wagner, star of this summer's DANCING ON NAILS at Theatre 80, will be this week's special guest on the popular WPKN (89.5 FM) Radio program 'State of the Arts' tomorrow (Friday) between noon and 1 PM. DANCING ON NAILS, a new play by Paul Manuel Kane, will end its Off-Broadway run tonight, July 31st at Theatre 80. Under the direction of Allen Lewis Rickman, the cast of DANCING ON NAILS features Peter Van Wagner (Isaac Ginsburg on HBO's “Boardwalk Empire”), Lori Wilner (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK), Bryna Weiss (“House,” “Gilmore Girls,”THE ENCORE OF TONY DURAN), Michael Lewis (THE YOUNG MAN FROM ATLANTA, 'Blue Bloods'), and Jazmyn Richardson(“Party at Micah's”).

Film & TV veteran Bryna Weiss is joining the cast of DANCING ON NAILS, a new play by Paul Manuel Kane, for the final two performances tomorrow (Wednesday) at Theatre 80. She is replacing Lauren Klein (in the role of Luba Fogel) who had a prearranged departure after the July 24th opening to star as Linda Loman in the Denver Center Theatre Company production of Death of a Salesman, which is set to open next month.

The producers of DANCING ON NAILS, currently in previews with the Opening Night set for this Wednesday, July 24th, have instituted a student rush policy. $20 student tickets are now available at the box office beginning 30 minutes before each performance with a valid student ID (cash only).
