Following last summer's triumphant readings of Lisa Loomer's Roe and with the midterm elections upon us, The Fountain Theatre once again jumps into action to give women a voice. The Fountain joins 20 theaters and universities across the U.S. to present two evenings of My Body, No Choice, staged readings of monologues commissioned by Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage.

The Bridge Initiative is joining a national effort to raise awareness around the issue of women's bodily autonomy in advance of the November midterm elections.

Radial Theater Project will present a free reading of My Body No Choice, a collection of eight new monologues by eight American playwrights, on Monday October 24 at 18th & Union in Seattle’s Central District.

The Fountain Theatre will livestream the final performance of Roe by Lisa Loomer on Sunday, July 10 beginning at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. The event will be made available free of charge as a public service to audiences abound the country.

The Fountain Theatre presents a deeply personal play about history, responsibility, and what we're willing to sacrifice for a new beginning. Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander, widely known from TV's Seinfeld, directs the Los Angeles premiere of If I Forget by Steven Levenson, running July 23 through September 10 on the Fountain's indoor stage. Previews begin July 20.

ZACH Theatre has announced the 2022–23 Season Mainstage and Family Series productions with a “Director’s Choice” musical to be announced at a later date.

The Drama Book Shop, a 105-year-old independent bookstore in New York City owned by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jeffrey Seller and James L. Nederlander, will celebrate its first anniversary since reopening its doors at 266 West 39th Street on Friday, June 10, 2022.

ROE reflects the red-hot debate over Roe vs. Wade through the personal journeys of Norma McCorvey (“Jane Roe”) and Sarah Weddington, the lawyer who argued the landmark case at the Supreme Court. Conceived in a pizza parlor and argued in the highest court in the land, the 1973 decision legalized abortion—and it is again front and center this summer as it faces another review in the Supreme Court.

Los Altos Stage Company continues to welcome audiences back to LIVE THEATRE for ROE, the third production of its 2021-2022 'Back in the Barn' season. ROE is directed by award winning Bay Area director and favorite artist Linda Piccone. Several productions will also be available via live stream.

Los Altos Stage Company has shortened its upcoming run of “Roe'. Originally scheduled to open for previews in late January, the show will now run for two weekends: February 11-13 and February 16-20.

Barry and Fran Weissler are adapting the acclaimed 2002 independent film Real Women Have Curves into a musical. Sergio Trujillo has been tapped to direct, with Lisa Loomer writing the book and Grammy-winning dup Jesse & Joy writing the score, likely making it the first Broadway musical with a Latine director, bookwriter, lyricist, and composer.
