Graham Brown, a New York City born actor, died on Tuesday, 13 December. He was 87 and succumbed to Pulmonary Failure at the Lillian Booth Actors' Fund Nursing Home in Englewood, New Jersey where he'd been a resident since 2009. (more...)

Young performers from the casts of Billy Elliot the Musical, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Warhorse and several past Broadway productions will sell homemade goodies at the 5th annual Broadway Kids Care Bake Sale the afternoon of November 5 in Fireman's Park (48th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue) between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The event will benefit local children who reside in NYC Shelters at the Freedom House and Secret Garden. Just because East Lynne Theater Company isn't currently doing four shows a week in Cape May doesn't mean the company is idle. On Monday, September 13, The Actors Fund hosted a party for "The Friends of The Lillian Booth Actors Home" at Gloria Crest, in Englewood, NJ, the former estate of film legend Gloria Swanson and now the home of the evening's hosts Jan and Edward Turen. The Turens welcomed Tony Award-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, and the evening's entertainment host Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth. Emmy and Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams, Tony Award-nominated actor/singer Tom Wopat and singer-songwriter-pianist Peter Cincotti and his band, among others performed. David Powers, a Broadway press agent whose career spanned 40 years and dozens of Broadway shows died on October 5th at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. He was 88 years old. (more...)
