Broadway's Carey Anderson, Stephen Bogardus, Kristy Cates, Matt Deangelis, John Michael Dias, Cheryl Freeman, Amy Justman, Gay Marshall, Mamie Parris, and The Doo Wop Project will come together for a one night only intimate concert at Stage 72, on Monday April 29th. Hosted by Believe NYC founder, Jacque Carnahan, the evening will include songs and stories of the first inspirations that led these performers to pursue careers on Broadway. (more...)

Celebrating the life of Mexican-American superstar Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, BROADWAY SINGS SELENA will welcome a starry cast of Broadway's best performers; presented at Off-Broadway's The Underground Theatre on April 1st. The show will be directed by Jay Levy. Sistas: The Musical is celebrating the one year milestone at St. Luke's Theatre, and now cast and crew have another reason to celebrate - the play was nominated for five 2012 Audelco Awards; Best Director, Best Ensemble, Best Choreographer, Outstanding Musical Director and Best Musical Production of the Year. SISTAS: The Musical, at St. Lukes Theatre (308 West 46th St.), opened in October of 2011 and was New York Times critic Ben Brantley's pick of the week, is now poised to add a second Saturday performance to their current schedule starting on March 17. Special group pricing will apply to that show only, ($35/person for groups of 10-49 and $32.50 for groups of 50+). (more...)

ALKY Returns to Peoples Improv Theatre, 9/12 & 19 by BWW

After a successful run earlier this summer at the PIT (People's Improv Theatre), ALKY: only the luckiest victims die is back! ALKY is a real teen drinking drama workshopped in Christian schools in the 80s in Texas and we perform it with twistedly funny adults who are 'under the influence'.
Come see Ms. O'Hara and the Marumsco Valley Players perform Jerome McDonough's hard-hitting teen drama, ALKY, while they try to hold their liquor. (more...)

After successful performances at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Broadway Comedy Club, and the PIT, the Marumsco Valley Players have been offered a run at the PIT (Peoples Improv Theater). ALKY: only the luckiest victims die runs Mondays, June 13, 27 and July 11 at 9:30. Alky was written by Jerome McDonough more than 20 years ago and was intended for teens to perform in schools for other teens. In this version, created and directed by Ryan Duncan (Shrek, Altar Boyz), ALKY tells the tale of the evils of teen drinking told by twistedly funny adults who are 'under the influence'. (more...)
