Georgia Shakespeare's producing artistic director Richard Garner has announced that local award-winning actors Daniel Thomas May and Courtney Patterson have been tapped to play Brick and Maggie Pollitt in Tennessee Williams' sizzling Southern tale of family deception, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, June 25 to August 1 at the Conant Performing Arts Center (4484 Peachtree Rd. The Fire Dept Artistic Directors Erica Gould and Audrey Rosenberg have announced that the return of the company's Salon Series-staged readings of new plays, presented in non-proscenium environments that encourage an intimacy between audience and performer, followed by a discussion with the artists and noted guest speakers whose life experiences speak to the issues raised by the material-will begin with The Minotaur by Anna Ziegler (BFF), directed by Erica Gould (Neil LaBute's autobahn and Stand Up), and starring Mario Cantone (Sex and the City), Jill Clayburgh (Dirty Sexy Money, An Unmarried Woman), Campbell Scott (Dying Young, Singles, Longtime Companion), and Jeremy Webb (The Glorious Ones, Kander & Ebb's The Visit) on Friday, March 27 at 7 pm at the historic Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South at 20th Street. The event will be produced by Audrey Rosenberg (Infamous with Sandra Bullock, upcoming documentary about Barack Obama).

Ben Gougeon and Doug Spagnola will direct. WONDERLAND IN ALICE: THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE is a post-modern trip through the worlds of Wonderland and quantum mechanics. Inspired by Lewis Carroll's beloved Alice stories, WONDERLAND IN ALICE: THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE follows Alice through the ten-dimensions of time and space as she searches for identity in an uncertain world. With help from characters such as the Schizophrenic Cat, the Syphillitic Worm and Tofurky, Alice finds her place in a post-9/11 world by learning to understand quantum physics, human sexuality and the power of choice. WONDERLAND IN ALICE: THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE premiered in Lubbock, TX with the Experimental Artists Theatre! (EAT!) in August of 2008.
