Three years after the National's enthralling revival of Tony Kushner's Angels in America, the playwright returns with his new adaptation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt's tragicomic 1956 parable a?' which has also been turned into an Ingrid Bergman-starring film and a Kander and Ebb musical.

Focus Features is set to partner with writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson on his untitled new film.  Anderson and Focus Features collaborated on his last feature Phantom Thread, which garnered 6 Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture, Director for Anderson, Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, Supporting Actress for Lesley Manville, Score for Jonny Greenwood and Costume Design for Mark Bridges, which he went on to win.  Longtime collaborators JoAnne Sellar and Daniel Lupi will produce this new project along with Anderson. 

Focus Features will release LET HIM GO on Friday August 21, 2020 domestically in North America. Universal Pictures International will release internationally.

Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha unveils new single, “You Can't Stop The Girl' (Warner Records) which is the featured song for Disney's “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” The accompanying video was helmed by award-winning director Sophie Muller and will be released in the weeks ahead. MASTERPIECE on PBS has released the trailer for World on Fire, an adrenalized, emotionally gripping and resonant World War II drama that follows the intertwining fates of ordinary people in five countries as they grapple with the effects of the war on their everyday lives.

Scott Rudin, with UK producer Big Talk Productions, will develop U.S. adaptation of Mum, according to Deadline. The remake of the British comedy will be written by Tracy Letts.
