In support of NYFOS's 35th season, the gala features a performance of songs by Laura Nyro, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell and the Beatles, along with some Motown hits.

I think that’s part of the problem with the place that Richard Strauss’s DAPHNE holds in the composer’s canon.
