Australia's most successful homegrown musical , Priscilla Queen of the Desert , is previewing to packed houses at Melbourne's Regent Theatre ahead of its official " pink carpet " gala opening this Tuesday 30 January . th The gala marks the 175 opening night for the iconic hit show , which has travelled to 135 cities in 29 countries around the world since it premiered in Australia a decade ago .

Alright girls, let's get this show on the road! Following the announcement of Australian theatre royalty Tony Sheldon as Bernadette , David Harris as Tick and Euan Doidge as Felicia , the full cast of Australia's most successful homegrown musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert has been confirmed.

Fermin Park in San Pedro, and touring to twenty-three parks throughout Southern California, Shakespeare by the Sea is celebrating 20 years of fulfilling its mission to create theatrical experiences for audiences in culturally diverse communities to make theatre accessible to all. For this milestone anniversary, SBTS has selected two of Shakespeare's most popular and beloved plays, Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew.

CASA 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director and the newly formed production company, Angel City Theater Ensemble (ACTE), Vance Valencia, Founder, will present the Los Angeles Premiere of the critically acclaimed play, MARIELA IN THE DESERT, written by Karen Zacarias, directed by Robert Beltran (Star Trek:  Voyager; Zoot Suit; Eating Raoul).  The production will be presented for a five-week run on the theater's Main Stage located at 2102 East First Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA  90033 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 5:00 p.m., November 4 - December 11, 2016.  There will be no performances on Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25th, 26th and 27th.
