Spotlight Theatre Company and Firehouse Theatre Company join forces to co-present 'Sylvia' opening May 25 and running through June 29, 2013. Performances are Friday/Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 Adult/ $18 for Students/Seniors. Group rates are available. TCG Books Releases Chekhov's Three Sisters & Woolf's Orlando: Two Renderings for the Stage by Sarah Ruhl

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) is pleased to announce the publication of Sarah Ruhl'sChekhov's Three Sisters & Woolf's Orlando: Two Renderings for the Stage which includes an introduction by the author. The two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist (The Clean House; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play) offers two new dramatic renderings for the stage. Ruhl's version of Three Sisters was commissioned by, and premiered in 2009 at, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and Orlando was commissioned by, and premiered in 1998 at, the Piven Theatre Workshop, before receiving its NYC premiere in 2010 at Classic Stage Company. 2 More Productions Announced

I am thrilled to announce two more productions for our 2013-2014 Season. The first production at the American Airlines Theatre will be a revival of The Winslow Boy by Terence Rattigan, directed by Lindsay Posner and starring Roger Rees and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. We will also produce the World Premiere of Cutie and Bear, a Roundabout Commission by Bekah Brunstetter that will be directed by Evan Cabnet at the Laura Pels Theatre. (more...)

The cast will include Christopher Denham as 'James Durnin,' Lisa Emery as 'Karen Brown-Canedy', Sarah Goldberg as 'Katie Nicholson,' David Morse as 'Tom Durnin,' and Rich Sommer as 'Chris Wyatt' Performances begin on May 31, 2013 and opening night is June 27, 2013 at theLaura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). THE AMERICAN PLAN to Transfer to St. James Theatre

St. James Theatre and Theatre Royal Bath Productions present the Ustinov Studio production of The American Plan by Richard Greenberg, directed by David Grindley. The production will transfer to the St. James Theatre from Tuesday 2 July to Saturday 10 August 2013, with press night on Monday 8 July at 7pm. The production received its UK premiere earlier this year at the Ustinov Studio, Bath. Booking opens for members and friends of the St. James Theatre on Monday 6 May and to the general public on Wednesday 8 May 2013. (more...)

Tennessee Rep Announces Schedule for Ingram New Works Festival

Tennessee Repertory Theatre has announced its schedule for the Martha R. Ingram New Works Festival. The festival will be held May 8 - 18 and will feature staged readings of new plays from four regional playwrights as well as nationally-renowned playwright Theresa Rebeck. Rebeck is this year's recipient of the Ingram New Works Fellowship. (more...)
