Producers Joey Parnes, Larry Hirschhorn, and John O'Boyle announced today that Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is headed to Broadway on the heels of its sold-out premiere at Lincoln Center. The 17-week strictly limited engagement is set to begin performances on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Broadway's Golden Theatre. Directed by Nicholas Martin, the Broadway production will feature the entire original company, which includes Sigourney Weaver, David Hyde Pierce, Kristine Nielsen, Genevieve Angelson, Shalita Grant, and Billy Magnussen. VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE Will Offer 'Youth Rush' Tickets

The Broadway Premiere of Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which comes on the heels of its sold-out run at Lincoln Center, has announced a youth rush ticket policy. A number of $37 tickets will be made available for each performance for patrons aged thirty-five and younger. These tickets must be purchased day-of, in-person at the box office and are subject to availability. Valid photo I.D. will be required, and patrons are limited to two rush tickets per performance. Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012 and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Both the young and the young at heart are encouraged to come to the 7:00 PM performance on Halloween Eve of Peter and the Starcatcher in their best Peter Pan inspired attire. After the show, ticket holders dressed in costume will be invited on stage to meet the cast and participate in a group photo. (more...)
