Dialogue with Three Chords stages an imagined conversation between William Marston, creator of the DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman and Dr. Frederic Wertham, champion of comic book censorship in 'The Last Days of the Brave and Bold ' from playwright Stephen Gracia. The short play is directed by Michael LoPorto as is the curtain raiser monologue, 'A People's History of Super Heroism.' The performance is tonight, March 28 at 8pm downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with $3 suggested donation. (more...)

Dialogue with Three Chords presents 'The Rough and Sweet Quartet' from playwright Stephen Gracia to launch their 2013 season of independent theatre. 'The Rough and Sweet Quartet' includes four new plays from Gracia, all directed by Michael LoPorto. The plays are 'about love, lust, transformation, drinks with the devil, and the stories we tell each other' says Gracia. The performance is tonight, February 28 at 8pm downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with $3 suggested donation. (more...)

Berry Meyerowitz, President & CEO of Phase 4 Films, announced today that the company has acquired all U.S. and Canadian rights to Academy Award® winner Alex Gibney's (TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE, ENRON) hockey documentary THE LAST GLADIATORS. Larry Weitzman, Jim Podhoretz and Gibney crafted the screenplay and produced the project, which is a Jigsaw Production in association with Northern Lights Hockey, LLC. (more...)

Alex Gibney’s Hockey Docu THE LAST GLADIATORS Acquired By Phase 4 by Movies News Desk - Sep 20, 2012
Berry Meyerowitz, President & CEO of Phase 4 Films, announced today that the company has acquired all U.S. and Canadian rights to Academy Award® winner Alex Gibney's (TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE, ENRON) hockey documentary THE LAST GLADIATORS. Larry Weitzman, Jim Podhoretz and Gibney crafted the screenplay and produced the project, which is a Jigsaw Production in association with Northern Lights Hockey, LLC. Barry Reese, Donald "Dee" Rizzo, Michael Messner, George Gund, and Robert J. Brooks executive produced. THE LAST GLADIATORS made its premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Phase 4 will kick off the theatrical release in Canada in October 2012 with the U.S. following in early 2013. Select engagements will feature a screening of the film, followed by an audience discussion with Stanley Cup winner Chris Nilan.
