The Performance Space 122 Spring 2013 Gala will celebrate three pioneering women: celebrated chef and author Gabrielle Hamilton, Councilwoman Rosie Mendez and musician Amanda Palmer. The Shining Star Award, PS122's community award to those who greatly support the performing arts community, will be presented to Kickstarter and its co-founders Charles Adler, Perry Chen, and Yancey Strickler. Joe's Pub at The Public will make its debut in Brooklyn as a co-presenter at the second annual Great GoogaMooga Festival in Prospect Park. The three-day outdoor food, drink and music festival is produced by Superfly Presents and will take place Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19, 2013. The Joe's Pub Stage will host eight performances on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. (more...)

Funny girl JULIE KLAUSNER makes her debut with two evenings of cabaret. Legendary downtown performance artist JOHN KELLY returns to premiere Rebel Songs. The 60s-inspired flight attendant PAM ANN returns for five nights in the Cockpit.
