Casting has been announced for Evita at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University. Shereen Pimentel (she/her) leads the cast in the role of Eva Perón and is joined by Gabriel Burrafato (he/him) as Magaldi, Omar Lopez-Cepero (he/him) as Che, Caesar Samayoa as Perón, and Naomi Serrano (she/her) as Mistress.

The Phantom of the Opera is officially back and Broadway is Broadway again! As a part of the celebration, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh took the stage for a special speech, and afterwards Webber took to the streets for a special DJ set in front of The Majestic. BroadwayWorld was there for the big night!

Guests at the Majestic Theatre last night know that the show must go on! Theater director Sammi Cannold, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dori Berinstein, WYSIWYG Studios, CEO Kwan-Woo Park and Elizabeth Armstrong, just premiered their new documentary film, The Show Must Go On. The film was presented in front of a live audience at the home of The Phantom of the Opera, the longest running show in Broadway history, to benefit and celebrate the work of The Actors Fund.

Singer, actor and songwriter, D.C. Anderson is a very talented person. His latest album, Sarasota is D.C.'s 12th studio album which was released earlier in 2020.

The Phantom of the Opera celebrates its 32nd Anniversary today, January 26, 2020. Last night, January 25, the company celebrated. They posed backstage after the performance and held a pizza party in honor of the big day.

Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, became the first Broadway show EVER to reach #13,000 performances. This is just one of many incredible achievements made by the show since it opened on Broadway over three decades ago.

Today's subject, Nancy Anderson, has been living her theater life on Broadway and in regional theaters for many years now. LOVE NEVER DIES: The Phantom Returns is very high on my list to see. Based off a sequel novel, The Phantom of Manhattan by Frederick Forsyth, LOVE NEVER DIES continues the luxurious love story that will be soon celebrating 30 years on Broadway.

The very first show I saw on Broadway was Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. To say that I was in awe would be an understatement. I fell in love with the show and the concept of musical theatre that day, and I've never looked back. Since then, I've been lucky enough to have seen dozens of shows, on and off Broadway, and I still get the same goosebumps each time the orchestra begins to play. There's just something special about the theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies, the spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, makes its North American premiere on Wednesday, October 25 in Detroit, MI, following technical rehearsals and performances in Utica, NY (September 22-24, Stanley Theatre) and a special preview engagement in Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre October 3-8, 2017.
