Disney/ABC Television Group Scores 50 Daytime Emmy Nominations

The Disney/ABC Television Group received 50 nominations for the 40st Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards announced today live on ABC News' 'Good Morning America.' 'General Hospital' was honored with 19 nominations, including a nod for Outstanding Drama Series. 'The View' received its 14th nomination for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment. ABC News' 'Good Morning America' received its seventh consecutive nomination for Outstanding Morning Program. 'Good Morning America' has won the award in three out of six years since the category was created. 'Good Afternoon America,' the one hour extension of 'Good Morning America,' was nominated for Outstanding Original Song for 'Good Afternoon,' written and performed by Little Big Town. (more...)

Michael Easton & More Set to Return to ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL, 5/10

TVLine reports that actors Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson will return to ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL on May 10th. The actors, who originally appeared on the ABC daytime sudser in the same roles they played on 'One Life to Live', will now portray completely different characters. (more...)

Roger Howarth to Reprise Soap Role on ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL

According to The Hollywood Reporter, four actors from the ABC soap opera 'One Life to Live' will reprise their roles for an upcoming story arc on the ABC soap opera 'General Hospital'. Kassie DePaiva, Roger Howarth, Michael Eason and Kristen Alderson will return in the roles they created on 'One Life to Live', which will conclude its 43 year run on January 13th. Mr. Willey and Ms. Eakes have been part of the benefit since the very first production in celebration of 'All My Children's' 35th anniversary show. The three-day event, which SoapNet calls 'A sequel of sorts to 2007's 'Prom Night: The Musical,' is entitled 'Starr X'd Lovers' and features numbers from The Black Eyed Peas, among other famous artists. The broadcast will feature One Life to Live regulars, in addition to Broadway's Jason Tamm, who was recently seen as 'Paul' in the revival of A Chorus Line, in two numbers.
