Previously announced eight-time Golden Globe Award winner and fifteen-time nominee Tom Hanks will be the recipient of the 2020 Cecil B. deMille Award. Three-time Golden Globe Award nominee Ellen DeGeneres will receive the Carol Burnett Award. Dylan & Paris Brosnan will serve as this year's Golden Globe Ambassadors.

This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the nominees for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.  The three-hour telecast hosted by Ricky Gervais will air live on NBC coast to coast Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST.

Today, E! announced the commencement of voting for the 2019 “E! People's Choice Awards,” celebrating all forms of entertainment, chosen entirely by the people.  Starting with the fan nomination week back in August, E! engaged fans worldwide to submit their favorites in the various categories. Kit Harington, best known for his role on Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of The Eternals, as Dan Whitman (aka Black Knight), according to Variety. The news was announced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige at D23.
