Celebration Theatre to Present OUTober, A Coming-Out Theatre Festival Next Week

Celebration Theatre will present OUTober, a weeklong festival of live events to spotlight the coming-out experience across the queer spectrum. The festival takes place October 10 - 16 at The Broadwater complex in Hollywood Theatre Row, as well as free-to-the-public livestreams on YouTube.

The program opened with a surprise greeting from Ringo Starr and from that point on, donations poured in by phone, online, and text…and they're still coming in. They sent out a call for love, and Los Angeles answered with donations big and small. People calling in were not only giving $5, $10, $100, they were telling stories to volunteers about the son they lost to AIDS, or their own cancer battle, or their friend who has survived because of Project Angel Food.

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.
