The full company for the Royal Exchange Theatre's brand-new production of THE PRODUCERS, directed by Raz Shaw, has been announced today. Joining Julius D'Silva and Stuart Neal who play the wonderfully bizarre double act Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, are MATILDA's Ms Trunchbull Charles Brunton (Roger De Bris), Hammed Animashaun, (Carmen Ghia), Dale Meeks (Franz Liebkind), Emily-Mae (Ulla) and an ensemble of 11 multi-talented actors. This wickedly funny, outrageous love letter to the Broadway musical builds upon the Exchange's growing reputation for reinventing celebrated musicals for its unique in-the-round theatre. Raz is joined by Choreographer Alistair David and Musical Supervisor Caroline Humphris. Featuring show-stopping songs such as Springtime for Hitler and When You Got It Flaunt It the production runs from 30 November 2018 - 26 January 2019.

Love's Labour's Lost is one of Shakespeare's earlier comedies and has never been one of his more popular plays. Even attempts to make it more appealing by Kenneth Branagh in 2000 by turning it into a musical did little to sway public opinion. Nick Bagnall's production focuses more on slapstick comedy than it does on passion and romance.

The British actress Judi Dench will receive the prestigious Donostia Award at the 66th edition of the San Sebastian Festival next month. The Festival's highest honorary award will be presented on Tuesday, September 25th, prior to the screening of Trevor Nunn's Red Joan, in which Dench plays a woman whose tranquil life is suddenly disrupted when she's arrested by MI5 and accused of providing intelligence to Communist Russia.
