Columbia Stages will present NEW PLAYS NOW, the annual festival of new plays by emerging artists from the MFA Theatre Program at Columbia University School of the Arts. NEW PLAYS NOW will run from tonight, April 17 to May 11 and will feature original works by Paulina Barros, Keith Boynton, Talya Chalef, Angelica Cheri, Pei-Chieh Chiang, Paola Lazaro Muņoz, Alessandra Most, Christina Quintana, Torrey Townsend, and Zhao Binghao. After a sold out run and extension, The Flea Theater announces yet another extension of the New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. THE MAN UNDER Comes to 59E59 Theaters, Beginning 1/25 by BWW News Desk - Dec 26, 2012
59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes Athena Theatre with the world premiere of THE MAN UNDER, written by Paul Bomba and directed by Benjamin Kamine. THE MAN UNDER begins performances on Friday, January 25 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 17. Press opening is Wednesday, January 30 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday and Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $25 ($17.50 for 59E59 Members). Columbia University School of the Arts has announced the 2012-2013 Columbia Stages season of actors', directors' and playwrights' thesis productions at the Riverside Theatre, 3LD, the Connelly Theatre, and The Pershing Square Signature Center. Columbia Stages has expanded its season to a variety of venues throughout the City in order to provide third-year students with high-quality presentation spaces that meet the needs of their individual vision. The first production of the season will be Antigone/Progeny directed by Greg Taubman '13. (more...)

After selling out almost all of its originally scheduled performances, The Flea Theater announces an extension of the New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. Previews began August 31, with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 19. Originally scheduled to end October 7, performances will now run through November 3. (more...)
