The Jury is an new musical with book & lyrics by Casey Kendall and music by Jonathan Bauerfeld. It tells the story of Tess Butler, who has died after a short lifetime of battling opiate addiction and burning bridges. Now, it is up to seven people from her life to come together and decide whether or not she's worth saving.

Page 73 has announced 10 semifinalists for the 2022 Page 73 Playwriting Fellowship. From a pool of over 300 applicants, Page 73 has selected Melis Aker, Syreeta Briggs, Vichet Chum, Kate Douglas, Ryan Drake, Marvin González De León, Majkin Holmquist, Deepa Purohit, Gab Reisman, and Haygen-Brice Walker.

November 26 through December 5, Pontine Theatre presents, A New England Christmas, an annual event featuring the work of favorite regional authors.  This year the program includes two seasonal stories:  Honey & Myrrh (1898) by Hampton Falls’ Alice Brown and The Old Peabody Pew (1905) by Buxton, Maine’s Kate Douglas Wiggin.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is presenting a reading of the new musical AGAINST WOMEN & MUSIC!, book and lyrics by Kate Douglas and music and lyrics by Lucille Lortel-winner Grace McLean. The reading is directed by Jaki Bradley, with music direction by Kris Kukul.

Recently featured on ABC's 'Broadway is Back' segment, the EP release for the musical The Ninth Hour will be celebrated with a concert performance at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 on October 14, 2021 in New York City, featuring a live band and ASL interpretation by collaborator Brandon Kazan-Maddox.

The passionate characters in Pathway to the Ballot Box are inspired by the challenges, triumphs, fears, and accomplishments of eight women who lived in New Paltz, NY over three centuries, leading to the first vote cast by a woman in New Paltz.
