Nickelodeon Goes Off-Air and Offline for 9th Annual Worldwide DAY OF PLAY Today, 10/6 by TV News Desk - Oct 06, 2012
For the ninth consecutive year, Nickelodeon is empowering kids to get up and get active when its TV channels and websites go off-air and offline for its annual Worldwide Day of Play (WWDoP) today, Oct. 6, from 12 to 3 p.m. (all times ET/PT). The network's channels - Nicktoons, Nick Jr. and TeenNick - and their companion sites - Nick.com, NickJr.com, Nicktoons.com and TeenNick.com will also participate in the network's commemoration of play. DIRTY DANCING Set To Play Pantages Theater 5/10-6/28 by BWW News Desk - May 10, 2009
The West Coast premiere of the international stage hit DIRTY DANCING - The Classic Story On Stage will play the Pantages Theatre for a limited engagement, opening Sunday May 10 and running seven weeks through June 28.
There are three lower-priced previews on Friday, May 8 at 8p and Saturday, May 9 at 2PM& 8P. The official press opening is Sunday, May 10 at 6P. (more...)

Dirty Dancing to Close in Toronto March 29 by BWW News Desk - Mar 29, 2009
Producer David Mirvish announced on Sunday that the Toronto run of Dirty Dancing, the Classic Story on Stage was to end after 582 performances on March 29th. The show recouped its costs back in December and has been running at a profit since then, and Variety reports that the closing has as much to do with the soft economy as with the need to open the theatre for other upcoming Mirvish productions.
