Kevin Moriarty, who has served as Dallas Theater Center's  Enloe/Rose Artistic Director for 15 years, has been named Executive Director, following the recent announcement of the retirement of DTC managing director Jeffrey Woodward, who has served in that  position for eight years.

Directed by Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company member Alex Organ and starring Kieran Connolly as Ebenezer Scrooge, A Christmas Carol is brimming with joyful songs, magical spirits and holiday cheer as this holiday classic embodies a story of joy, redemption and the spirit of Christmas.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) presents Trouble in Mind at the Kalita Humphreys Theater Oct. 13 - 30. Directed by Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company member Tiana Kaye Blair, Trouble in Mind is a funny, moving, and ultimately shattering look at racism, identity, and ego in the high-stakes world of New York Theater.

Dallas Theater Center's Clue, the first production of the 2022-2023 season, begins performances at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. Clue is directed by Daytime Emmy Award-winning Alan Muraoka; who has appeared on Sesame Street, as well as directed, for more than 25 years. Viewers may recognize him as “Alan”, the beloved character who runs Mr. Hooper's store. 

The Uptown Players 2022 season will close with Douglas Carter Beane's 2006 heartfelt drama, The Little Dog Laughed.

he season will feature the world premiere of Silver Foxes, a new play by the writing team of “The Golden Girls”, plus the regional premieres of the 2019 Drama Desk nominated musical, Head over Heels and the recent Broadway hit Chicken & Biscuits. Rounding out the 2022-2023 season is the regional premiere of Cruel Intentions: The 90's musical, a co-production with Stage West, and an all-new Broadway Our Way.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) announces its second public meeting on Thursday, June 16th  to discuss the Kalita Humphreys Theater Campus Master Plan. The public meeting will be held at 6:00pm-7:30pm at the Kalita Humphreys Theater located at 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd, Dallas, TX 75204.

Uptown Players presents its 19th annual fundraiser Broadway Our Way '22. This year's production is written and directed by B.J. Cleveland, choreographed by Andrew Coopman with music direction by Kevin Gunter and Kelley Poche Rodriguez and musical arrangements by Adam C. Wright. Broadway Our Way will run June 9 - 12, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. This year's event includes the return of two special guests, Emerson Collins and Black McIver

Dallas Theater Center has announced titles for the 2022-2023 season, including Clue, a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie; Trouble In Mind, a comedy-drama that made its triumphant Broadway debut in 2021, Native Gardens, a brilliant, contemporary comedy about neighbors turned feuding enemies, and more.

Uptown Players will open their season with Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, a new two-act revival of Fierstein's original 1983 Torch Song Trilogy. As the original title indicates, “Torch Song Trilogy” consisted of three plays when it originally opened on Broadway and was trimmed to two-acts for an off-Broadway revival in 2018 that later tranfered to Broadway in 2019.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) celebrates the 125th birthday of Our Town playwright Thorton Wilder with its newest production at the Kalita Humphreys Theater which began performances January 27.

Dallas Theater Center has announced the postponement of upcoming production Trouble in Mind, originally scheduled to be on stage at the Kalita Humphreys Theater May 26 through June 19. Trouble in Mind is postponed to DTC’s 2022-2023 season, with complete season details to be announced at a later date. 

Due to a production-related delay, Theatre Three's production of Audrey Cefaly's Maytag Virgin will now open Saturday, February 5 and run through to the original ending date of  Sunday, February 20 at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus. Directed by Whitney LaTrice Coulter, the production will star Tiffany Solano as “Lizzy” and Ian Ferguson as “Jack.”

DTC will present the production with English and Spanish spoken throughout the production. It features translated passages by Nilo Cruz and Jeff Augustin. DTC's production is the first Wilder production in the 125th year-long celebration in 2022. 

Theatre Three kicks-off the new year with the regional premiere of Audrey Cefaly's Maytag Virgin running January 27 - February 20 at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus. Directed by Whitney Latrice Coulter, this new play is packed with wit, passion, and the weight of moving forward through loss.
