Lilly Diabetes Announces Expansion with Disney Publishing Worldwide by BWW News Desk - Apr 30, 2013
Lilly Diabetes today announced the global expansion of its innovative collaboration with Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW), which expands the program internationally based on the success of the initiative in the U.S., which began in 2011. The goal of the program is to bring thoughtful educational resources to families of children with diabetes, including a series of custom books co-created by Lilly Diabetes and DPW for children of various ages and stages of life who are living with type 1 diabetes. The books, available through diabetes healthcare professionals, will initially be translated and available in 18 countries. (more...)

The Comedy Pigs Celebrate 20th Anniversary by BWW News Desk - Apr 03, 2013
Twenty years ago on this day, April 3, 1993, one hundred and six ticket holders crammed into the Olde Town Tavern back room for the very first Comedy Pigs show! The Comedy Pigs, Maryland Ensemble Theatre'ssketch and improv troupe, is still going strong all these years later. After twenty years they think they've finally got the hang of it but you can be the judge at their next shows on April 13 and 20 at 10:30pm. The April shows will follow the main stage show, Finally Heard: Feminine Heroes of an Uncivil War. This will be troupe members Carly Ball, Gary Baker, Courtney McLaughlin, Chris 'C-Mo' Molloy, Anne Raugh, Franky Russell, Jeff Schnorr, Laura Stark and Julie Williams only two performances in April. The Comedy Pigs Add 3/16 Show by BWW News Desk - Mar 07, 2013
The Comedy Pigs, Maryland Ensemble Theatre's sketch and improv troupe, have added a show to their schedule. The new show will follow Truthpaste: A Blotto Biography, MET's Artistic Director's Tad Janes' one-man show on March 16. The 8pm performance of Truthpaste will be followed by a 10pm Comedy Pigs improv show. The Comedy Pigs are in the midst of celebrating their 20th Anniversary Season. Lone Star and Laundry are two complementary one-act plays written by James McLure. Though not a native Texan, McLure is known as a premier Texas playwright because he graduated from SMU's theatre department in 1973 and his best-known plays are prized for their precise capture of the feel and character of West Texas. Not to mention the great southern humor running through every page! McLure died in February of this year from cancer. He was 59. (more...)
