Actors Equity held a celebration for the 60th Anniversary of the Gypsy Robe on Monday night, October 25th at Sequoia on Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport where past gypsy robe winners came back to reminisce and to celebrate.

Paper Mill Playhouse is presenting Hairspray, directed by Matt Lenz, with choreography by Michele Lynch, at the Millburn theatre from September 22 through October 24, 2010. Yesterday, on April 28, The Shubert Organization and the Career Transition For Dancers hosted a 'Between the Shows' get together and dinner for for Broadway dance community at Sardi's in Times Square. In attendance was Nick Adams, Kelly Bishop, Caitlin Carter, Mercedes Ellington, Priscilla Lopez, Vivian Nixon, Keith Roberts, John Selya, Judine Somerville and many more of the talented dancers that grace the Broadway stages each night. BroadwayWorld was also on hand for the celebration honoring some of Broadway's best.

A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio for kids and teens has recently wrapped their widely popular one-week Broadway camp programs. Campers, ages six through 16, came from all over the globe to participate in the camps including London, England, Ohio, Missouri and Pennsylvania.

Acclaimed Broadway dancer extraordinaire, JUDINE SOMERVILLE, has become the first dancer to receive the prestigious F. LAMMOT BELIN ARTS SCHOLARSHIP in that award's 45-year history.

The Shubert Organization and Career Transition For Dancers hosted Broadway's Nick Adams, Andy Blankenbuehler, Charlotte d'Amboise, Mercedes Ellington, Judine Somerville and the Broadway Dance Community for a Between-Shows-Get-Together at Sardi's Eugenia Room on 234 West 44th Street on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009.

On January 4th 2009, after over 2,641 performances, the curtain fell at the Neil Simon Theater on the final performance of Broadway's 2003 Tony Award? musical HAIRSPRAY starring original cast members Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur. On Sunday January 4th, 2009, Broadway bid farewell to a number of shows, new favorites and old classics played one last performance for the eager crowds. Photographer Walter McBride brings you the emotional energy of a day in the life of Broadway.

Fidelity FutureStage enabled over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. Each of the participating schools also had a play that was selected to represent them at the gala finale performed by the students.The Fidelity FutureStage Finale took place at New World Stages June 2nd and 3rd.
