As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the brand-new Rave Theater Festival is set to launch later this week, running August 9-25, 2019 at Clemente Soto Veléz Cultural and Educational Center (107 Suffolk Street) on the Lower East Side. For its introductory year, Rave Theater Festival has selected a diverse roster of plays, musicals, family-friendly shows, and cross-disciplinary projects.

Broadway actors Julia Haubner and Ian Saraceni have joined the cast of The Perfect Fit, a new family musical featuring book, music and lyrics by twelve-year-old musical sensation Joshua Turchin (The Little Mermaid Live-To-Film, Forbidden Broadway Salutes Carol Channing, A Christmas Story National Tour, TrevorLive, The Pill). The production will be making its world premiere in a staged developmental production that will run August 11 – 23 as part of the Rave Theater Festival.

The Perfect Fit, a new family musical featuring book, music and lyrics by twelve-year-old musical sensation Joshua Turchin (The Little Mermaid Live-To-Film, Forbidden Broadway Salutes Carol Channing, A Christmas Story National Tour, TrevorLive, The Pill) will be making its world premiere this Summer in a staged developmental production that will run August 11 - 23 as part of the Rave Theater Festival. Directed by Broadway veteran Garth Kravits (Drowsy Chaperone, Gettin' the Band Back Together), The Perfect Fit will run at the Teatro Latea Theater, at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street, 2nd Floor.

Producer The Green Room 42 played host on Friday, June 14, 2019, to the fourth edition variety show of The Early Night Show LIVE! created, written, directed, accompanied, and performed by 12 year old Joshua Turchin. Joshua Turchin will return to The Green Room 42 with his cabaret series, 'The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin,' June 14, 2019 at 7pm. Turchin previously performed several successful shows, 'The Early Night Show at The Green Room' and the 'West End Lounge,' and regularly music directs and accompanies at The Green Room 42's (YOUNG) cabaret series. Special guests from Broadway, television and film will join Turchin on stage.

Disney's The Little Mermaid Live-To-Concert Experience played at the Hollywood Bowl, on Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18.

A vocally-gifted, all-star cast accompanied by a gorgeous, live orchestra breathed added dimensions to Disney's animated Little Mermaid. The screening of this 30-year-old Disney classic received the IMMERSIVE LIVE-TO-FILM CONCERT EXPERIENCE treatment. Lea Michele as the titular Ariel NAILED her 'Part of Your World' with her soaring vocals and two ethereal blue gowns.

The fifth installment of (YOUNG), created and directed by Monroe G. Scott, took place at The Green Room 42 on Sunday, March 3. Twelve-year-old Joshua Turchin accompanied, emceed, and music directed the cabaret, which featured a cast of Broadway's biggest littles, while benefitting children around the world. 

Returning to The Green Room 42 on March 3 at 7pm for its fifth installment, the (YOUNG) Broadway Series showcases some of Broadway's biggest littles while supporting littles around the world through the (YOUNG) For Young Initiative.
