Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner will star as Elder Cunningham in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, launching in Denver from August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Gertner will join previously announced Gavin Creel as Elder Price. Samantha Marie Ware joins as Nabulungi, as well as Grey Henson as Elder McKinley and Kevin Mambo as Mafala Hatimbi.

BOOK OF MORMON's Josh Gad to Speak at Stanford University, 5/17

At the Fountain Theatricals, a new theatre organization at Stanford University officially announced their Inaugural Event earlier this week with a date set for May 17 at 3pm. The organization is aimed at providing students with additional opportunities for arts education and musical theatre performance. To present their mission to the Stanford student body and the general public, the inaugural event will consist of an introduction to the organization by the founding members as well as keynote speaker, Broadway's Josh Gad. Mr. Gad will also participate in a Q&A session following his speech. (more...)

Elsewhere, when Skip (Josh Gad) is left to watch the children for the evening, things don't go quite as expected. Meanwhile, Marshall (Andre Holland) and D.B. Yesterday, it was reported that screen and stage star Kristen Bell would be re-teaming with VERONICA MARS creator Rob Thomas in pursuing a feature film adaptation of the quirky Cult action series, along with most of the original cast of the 2004-2007 show, and kicking it all off with a Kickstarter campaign to raise the needed $2 million to proceed further with their plans.
