Broadway comes to Ridgefield! The cast for the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been announced by director Daniel C. Levine and it's chock-full of Broadway stars - Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) is Pharaoh, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) is Joseph and Christine Dwyer (Wicked) is the Narrator. The show runs Saturday, February 24th at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, February 25th at 2pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Part of Ridgefield Magazine's Broadway & Cabaret Series, this is a unique and captivating concert production of this classic Andrew Lloyd Webber smash-hit Broadway musical!

Theater for the New City (TNC) presented a highly successful developmental production of 'Josh: The Black Babe Ruth' by Michael A. Jones last Spring in its small Cabaret Theater. In honor of Black History Month, TNC will re-mount the drama February 8 to 25, 2018 in its larger Cino Theater. Bette Howard directs. The play dramatizes the life, loves and ultimately the tragic decline of Josh Gibson, who was perhaps the greatest slugger of the Negro leagues and who, some say, died of a broken heart in 1947.

Westport Country Playhouse will host a list of accomplished Broadway performers tonight for third annual benefit gala, Broadway Sings, benefiting the resident conservatory of the Playhouse, Broadway Method Academy (BMA).

Broadway Method Academy (BMA), a non-profit musical theater-training program, will hold its third annual benefit gala, Broadway Sings, on Monday, November 27 at the prestigious Westport Country Playhouse.

Stars from Broadway's HAMILTON, GROUNDHOG DAY, THE BOOK OF MORMON, and FUN HOME will gather for "Bad Year/Good Music," featuring the work of emerging musical theater writer Rebekah M. Allen (L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Winner, Best Lyrics/Composition for WE ARE THE TIGERS).

Dreyfus: The Musical: A parody musical about the one and only, your favorite and ours, Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Bobby Conte Thornton (A BRONX TALE) and Laurel Harris (WICKED, BEAUTIFUL) are among the stars who will lend their talents to Broadway Sings for Equality, a benefit concert which will raise money for Immigration Equality. Hosted by Larry Owens and Natalie Walker, the concert will take place on Monday, June 19 at 7:30pm at The Cutting Room in New York City.

Statistically speaking, it's safe to say that just about every Broadway show boasts cast members who graduated from Cincinnati University- College Conservatory of Music, or CCM. The school's legacy is woven deep into the fabric of the Broadway community. We took some time to shine a light on that legacy at Broadway Sessions recently. The '17 graduating class took the stage alongside alumni Jessica Hendy (Cats), Julian R. BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. 

Blake Allen, known for his innovative bridging of contemporary music and theater through composition, performance and advocacy, announces first AEA staged reading of Boston|Nebraska, based upon the literary work of Willa Cather, April 3 and 4 in Manhattan.

Aaron Jackson (Broad City, UCB) and Josh Sharp (Comedy Central 'Comic to Watch') are back for another Gay Show For All People, a variety hour filled with songs and laughs from comics and queers and mostly people who are both.
