The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, along with the City of New York and the United States Navy, celebrates the 25th annual Fleet Week, now through May 28, 2012. Fleet Week is America’s premier tribute and “thank you” to the men and women who serve in the armed forces. As part of the festivities, Peter and the Starcatcher's Teddy Bergman and Greg Hildrethof hosted a Fleet Week Broadway showcase, featuring performers from Anything Goes, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, Memphis, Ghost, Sister Act, Godspell, Chicago and Rock of Ages. Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES have announced that Ashley Spencer (Grease, Priscilla..) will star in the leading role of Sherrie – the “small town girl” who “took the midnight train goin’ anywhere” – beginning Thursday, May 10 at Broadway’s Helen Hayes Theatre (220 W 44th Street). Emily Padgett, who has performed the role since November 2011, will play her final performance on Tuesday, May 1. During the interim week, the role will be covered alternately by Katie Webber and Tessa Alves. (more...)

At the request of the office of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, ROCK OF AGES performed their classic anthems “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Here I Go Again” at The New York Giants Super Bowl Victory Ceremony at New York City Hall on Tuesday, November 7, 2012. Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES have announced that Genson Blimline will take over the role of “Lonny” role beginning today, Monday, December 19. Mitchell Jarvis, who has starred in ROCK OF AGES since it opened on Broadway in 2009 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, is taking a leave of absence from the show to take part in the Alley Theatre production of The Toxic Avenger in Houston, Texas. Jarvis is scheduled to return to Rock of Ages on February 20, 2012. (more...)

Rebecca Faulkenberry, who has performed the role of "Sherrie" since ROCK OF AGES moved to the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 24, 2011, will play her final performance on Sunday, November 6. (more...)

In addition to ROCK OF AGES, Woodard's theatre credits include Glory Days, Hairspray, and Miss Saigon. MiG Ayesa, who has performed the role of "Stacee Jaxx" since ROCK OF AGES moved to the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 24, 2011, will play his final performance on Sunday, September 25. ROCK OF AGES welcomed 80's pop icon Tiffany last night, July 26, as she made her Broadway debut at the Helen Hayes Theatre.
